A fleet of 100 Jeep® Renegades will now support the Italian National Fire Brigade Corps. The vehicles, in the classic red livery with white lettering, are designed to reach even remote areas quickly and safely. They are equipped with Jeep's Active Drive four-wheel drive and an 88 kW (120 hp) two-liter MultiJet turbo diesel engine.
The special equipment typical of firefighters includes, among other things, the illuminated bridge on the roof with a blue warning light, the two-tone horn, the radio intercom, rubber mats and a fire extinguisher with a two kilogram volume of extinguishing agent in a permanently mounted holder.
The delivery of the 100 Jeep Renegade expands the fleet of the National Fire Brigade Corps, which had already added 2016 FCA vehicles of the Fiat Ducato, Doblò, Panda and Punto models in 2017/550.
