On October 5th and 6th, the largest official gathering of Abarth fans in the brand's history took place in Milan. This year's event easily beat last year's record: more than 5.000 fans and over 3.000 Abarth vehicles took part in the celebration of Abarth's 70th anniversary. In addition, over 3.500 test drives were carried out with the brand's current vehicles. These figures confirm the success of the two-day event, during which Abarth offered fans fun, emotion and adrenaline rushes. The highlight was the world premiere of the Abarth 695 70° Anniversario. This fantastic special edition was the highlight of the Abarth Days, as it is the most important tribute to the seventy-year success story of the brand with the scorpion in its logo: the new Abarth 695 70° Anniversario enchanted the participants with its new, adjustable rear spoiler, the green Monza livery from 1958 and the Campovolo grey body kit.
The extravagant Milan Innovation District (MIND) provided the worthy setting for the Abarth Days 2019. A 3-kilometer-long race track with a rapid sequence of straights, curves and chicanes was created there. Racing spirit was in the air, as fans could test their own vehicles on the street circuit or test drive the new models from the "70th Anniversary" series. You could also sit as a passenger of an experienced Abarth driver in the vehicle that recently won the FIA R-GT CUP for the second time in a row - the Abarth 124 rally.
Plenty of action and a whole host of entertaining activities thrilled the visitors: The electrifying music of the DJs on the main stage, the BMX stunt show, the presentation of classic and current vehicles from the brand with the scorpion, play areas for young people and kids, driver safety training with instructions from Abarth and much more attracted the enthusiastic fans. In addition to a large selection of "Abarth Authentic Accessories powered by Mopar", Abarth Racing's partners Sabelt, Manpower Exteris, LM Gianetti, EGV1 and Grom also presented themselves.
In addition, the event featured the Mopar® Express Care offered innovative, authorized service. For this purpose, a fully equipped, mobile workshop based on a Ducato was available
During the event in Milan, the Online Abarth Days also took place: around 1.000 publications reached over 140.000 users. The internet presentation of the new Abarth 695 70° Anniversario, which took place at the same time as the real presentation, was particularly well received.
The online community participated with over 90.000 likes and comments on social media. The latest addition to the line of large vehicles from Abarth has been viewed more than 120.000 times.
Performance, tradition and lots of fun: Abarth Days 2019 confirmed its role as a central event for European friends of the brand with the scorpion in its logo. Many of these fans are part of the ever-growing global Abarth family - there are currently 77 official clubs, almost twice as many as in 2016. In the only official brand community, "The Scorpionship", more than 110.000 fans are active in the EMEA region alone. Membership is free, and registration is straightforward via the website scorpionship.abarth.com.
